Comcast Adds Services, Expands Into New Communities to Help Businesses and Residents Succeed
As Comcast Corp. continues to grow its global media and technology presence, it is adding more services in Polk County.
Comcast is a global leader in media and technology, offering broadband, mobile, and entertainment services to millions of customers around the world. They bring to life extraordinary experiences through their Universal Destinations & Experiences, enriching visitors with its world-renowned theme parks and attractions.

Comcast is also the parent company of Xfinity, which offers consumers cable TV, internet and phone services, serves hundreds of millions of people worldwide. Its website said it “brings together innovative technology and extraordinary content and experiences.”
They currently offer services in Bartow, Lake Wales, Fort Meade, Frostproof, Babson Park and Davenport, said Sydney Freeman, Public Relations Manager for the Florida Region. Comcast offers its full suite of services here, including internet, video, home security and mobile. It has just announced that Comcast Business services teams are now also being added.
Comcast Business
In March 2025, Comcast Business announced a significant expansion of its connectivity solutions teams to reach new Florida communities. These include Lakeland, Kissimmee, Orlando, Tampa, Clearwater and St. Petersburg, Freeman said.

“We launched these new client services teams to support local enterprise customer locations – many outside of the traditional Comcast footprint – with a broad suite of technology solutions, including global secure networking, advanced cybersecurity and unified communications solutions,” Freeman said. “The new team, composed of veteran telecom professionals, is focused on expanding opportunities for businesses of all sizes.”
In announcing the expansion, Jeff Buzzelli, Regional Senior Vice President for Comcast Florida, said the company realized that businesses large and small “require exceptional connectivity and comprehensive cybersecurity solutions. The launch of our new teams underscores our commitment to empowering possibilities for businesses across Central Florida and the Tampa Bay area. We’re here to provide resources and support to enable businesses so they can reach their full potential.”
Comcast Now
The company is also offering its NOW suite — NOW Internet, NOW TV and NOW Mobile — to eligible customers in Polk County, Freeman said. “These offerings are simple and dependable with all-in monthly prices.”
The company promotes it as: “No commitments. No surprises. Just simple internet, unlimited mobile, and the TV you love.”

Giving Back
The company gives back to the community through Project UP, which has existed for about 10 years. It has committed $1B “to advance digital equity and help build a future of unlimited possibilities,” according to its website. Its goal is to reach tens of millions of people through programs and community partnerships across Comcast, NBCUniversal and Sky to “open doors for the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs, storytellers and creators.”

Among other things, it offers Comcast RISE, which is now in its fourth year. The program has supported “14,000 small business owners with tech services, marketing resources and millions of dollars in grants,” the website said.
It offers statistics to bolster the need to help businesses:
- “By 2030, the demand for workers with basic digital skills will increase by 69 percent.
- “One in three people used the Internet to find a new job or earn a higher income after receiving help from a Digital Navigator,” its website said.
The Future
Comcast’s future in Polk County for the next three to five years looks bright, Freeman said.
“Comcast is excited to grow with Polk County,” she said. “With Polk being the fastest growing county in the state, we see a great opportunity to bring faster, more reliable internet to both residents and businesses to support development. We’re here to keep our customers connected. Whether they are learning online, attending telehealth appointments, running business transactions or making purchases within the local economy.”
