Polk County – Where Change Adds Up

  • Lockheed Martin operates its  primary financial services center at Oakbridge in Lakeland, employing 415 associates. It houses the company’s payroll operations, transaction services, general accounting and international accounting services.
  • State Farm Insurance operates a regional office for the state of Florida in Winter Haven. The regional office employs approximately 1,700 persons in a 450,000 square foot complex off Cypress Gardens Boulevard.
  • GEICO operates a 2,000 employee regional center at the Lakeland Airside Center. These associates work in a 300,000 square foot facility.
  • Summit Consulting employs 800 persons in Lakeland in its facilities dedicated to serving the workers compensation needs of businesses throughout the United States.
  • Another third party administrator of workers compensation claims is Bunch & Associates which recently constructed a new 53,000 square foot office building in Lakeland. Bunch & Associates employs 350 persons.
  • Marriott International Vacation Club operates a 420 employee back office/reservation center in Lakeland.
  • GC Services operates a 1,000 employee call center near Interstate 4 in Lakeland.
  • Our community offers buildings that feature protected inland locations, high security, carrier grade facilities, multiple fiber providers, diesel backup generators and new 4,000 amp dual feed electric service.
  • Polk County boasts five SmartParks featuring the latest communications technology for business use.
