Permitting & Regulatory Assistance

Expedited Permitting

Polk County Manager Mike Herr’s goal is for our community to be the county of choice. One of the county’s top priorities is to streamline and fast-track business-related permitting. Our goal is that new or expanding businesses are not delayed by red tape or cumbersome processes. Florida Trend magazine recognized Polk County as having one of the best business climates in the state.

The CFDC assists companies in obtaining permits quickly with agencies such as the Florida Department of Transportation, the local water management district, the Department of Environmental Protection, if necessary, and with our local municipal and county offices.

To aid in expediting business locations and expansions, the CFDC provides certified sites.

We would welcome an opportunity to assist your business with your site selection and permitting needs.
